Here are some reasons why our members joined ABWA and our ABWA University Chapter!

  • "The main reason I joined this chapter was I wanted to be around other successful and fun businesswomen. I have been an ABWA University Chapter member since February, 1998.  I keep coming because I have made such great friends and I have the opportunity to continue to build my skills such as public speaking, leadership and networking. In addition, I like what we give back to the community and other women".
  • "I joined ABWA in 1990 because I was looking for a professional organization that included all walks of life. The ABWA has helped my career tremendously with leadership skills and networking".
  • "ABWA has provided an opportunity to meet other professional women in other industries.  It also has provided an opportunity for networking and meeting. new friends."
  • "I joined the ABWA because I knew some of the women in the local chapter and because our sons weren’t interested in having their parents around anymore; they had become much more interested in girls and cars!"
  • "I joined the ABWA to make new friends who share an interest in business and community involvement."
  • "I joined the ABWA because I wanted to network with a professional women's group.  I've met lots of new friends and learned more about what's going on in Charlotte."
  • "I joined to increase my network of professional women for business as well as personal benefits."
  • "I joined because I wanted to meet local businesswomen who might provide opportunities for both business ventures and friendships."
  • "I joined because my boss suggested it.  However, my membership has been beneficial for networking with other businesswomen as well as making new friends.
